ARMS OF DUNCAN OF CLUNY -- FIRST IN THE CLAN

The original 1672 matriculation of Duncan's arms delivered to him on parchment has been lost. However, we are fortunate to have the following extract of the record on file in the Lord Lyon's office which was obtained by our 19th Chief, Duncan of the Kiln in 1787 and displays the illustration shown below. The original 1672 record in the Lyon Register does not show an illustration of the actual coat of arms but it does include the blazon or heraldic description of the Arms. A photocopy of the extract is on display in the Heraldry Section of this Museum.
