'OLD CLUNY'S GOLDEN WEDDING GIFT

      The epergne features a man on horseback handing a coin to an aproned man standing next to the horse. Depiction of Ensign Hector Munro awarding a shilling to Ewen Macpherson (of the '45) posing as a servant. Engraved on the base of the epergne are the Arms of Cluny Macpherson and the following:

"PRESENTED ALONG WITH AN ILLUMINATED ADDRESS
BY THEIR FRIENDS AND CLANSMEN TO
CLUNY MACPHERSON and LADY CLUNY
on the occasion of their
GOLDEN WEDDING
20th December 1882"
