Born on 2nd September 1940 in Pinner, Middlesex. She attended Ardersier Primary School before going to Inverness Royal Academy and subsequently St. Andrews University. Editor of Harpers & Queen magazine, and rose to become Editor-in-Chief of the National Magazine Co. The Scottish National Portrait Gallery in Edinburgh has acquired an oil portrait for their permanent collection of notable Scotswomen.
