     The Australian Branch of the Clan Association was formed in 1974 by special Charter given to the late Gordon J. McPherson of Adelaide by the Association Council. The Branch now has an active membership of 163 members, and growing!

      All members receive Creag Dhubh as well as the Branch Newsletter.

      The Clan Macpherson is represented annually at Scottish Week in Sydney; at 'Bundanoon is Brigadoon' in Southern New South Wales and at The Wild Scotchman Festival at Gin Gin, Queensland, by Edna Sabato MacPherson, the local representative who lives in Maryborough.

      Through the efforts of the Australian Branch, the loan of the flintlock pistol that belonged to Duncan Macpherson of Cluny (19th Chief), was secured in 2006 for a period of five years from Museum Victoria. See Panel 108. In addition, two former State Premiers of Victoria are represented at Panels 63 and 66. Australians also appear on the 'Macpherson Women of Note' display at Panels 54 and 55.

      The present Australian Representative, John L Macpherson, was appointed a Vice President of the Clan Association in 2006
