The portal shown in the photograph is the entrance to the Drumochter Room so named in honour of Lord Tom Macpherson f Drumochter who was the principal leader responsible for the founding of the Clan Macpherson Association in 1946. He was the first Chairman of CMA and long-time benefactor.
When Macpherson House and Museum was first opened in 1952, what is now the Drumochter Room was the only room in which the relics purchased at the 1943 auction of the contents of Cluny castle were displayed.
Within the Drumochter Room, the items of Panel 101 are dedicated to Lord Tom's memory.
