The Clan Museum Trustees greatly appreciate the assistance and support given by Ian and Elizabeth's daughters: Elizabeth Baillie and Jane Yeadon. The Trustees are also indebted to Douglas F. Young, author in 2002 of HIGHLAND SEARCH The Life and Novels of Ian Macpherson. The content for much of the text used in this display, photographs connected with their lives and the map of their country, came from this well researched and critical account of his life, which placed Ian Macpherson's literary output as an important contribution to Scottish twentieth century literature. A grant for the purchase of the portable stand for mounting display was generously provided by 'Voluntary Action in Badenoch & Strathspey' (VABS). We are delighted to acknowledge this financial assistance. We also recognise the expert assistance of Dr. Alan G. Macpherson, Clan Historian and Genealogist, who provided details for the Family Trees.
Also forming part of this exhibition are two A4 ring binders. One contains many press cuttings and other items relating to Ian and Elizabeth ‚ daughters, Elizabeth and Jane provided these. The other binder has illustrations by Mildred R. Lamb reproduced from Happy Hawkers. These depict in a humorous way their life during the early 1930's. The books of Ian and Elizabeth are also available for browsing by arrangement with the curator. P>
