Donald Caskie became the twentith-century version of the Scarlet Pimpernel who arranged and aided the escape of countless French nobles and others during the 'Reign of Terror' in 18th century France..

     The photograph of Dr. Donald Caskie shows him wearing the uniform of officiating Chaplain to the Force, a post he filled in 1944-5 after the liberation of Paris and his own release from prison.
