The armiger is the grandson of Capt Donald Waller Macpherson, the original grantee. This shield differs from that of Sir Arthur Stewart Macpherson by the "invected" partition line across the centre of the shield.

Note the flags on the prow and stern of the galley are saltires vice red pennants.
