Arms of Captain John Harvey Macpherson
Late of Newtonmore, Inverness-shire

A nephew of Dr Cluny Macpherson. The Arms are quarterly :
     1 & 4: Arms of Dr Cluny Macpherson "debruised by a riband gemel wavy Sable" to indicate that the descent is not through the male line;
      2 & 3: Arms of Beaumont "within a bordure compony".

Crest: "a cat-a-mountain sejant proper grasping in his sinister paw extended horizontally an air bomb, vanes upward Or, banded of two barrulettes Azure". The "air bomb" is to suggest the bomb disposal work that the armiger was engaged in as a volunteer during WW II.

Motto: "Gloved in Peace, in war unbowed".
