The black Galley on a gold field floats on waves of the sea "in base". The "chief" is charged with a demi-sun, a reference to the armiger's birthplace, Windsor, Ontario in Essex County, the "Sun Parlour of Canada". The border cotains an "open book "to signify "Education" and the Rose represents "Windsor as well as the armiger's Tudor literary specialization.

Crest: a wildcat holding a "seax" in allusion to Essex County and a "Spur rowel" that indicates the armiger's connection with two chivalric orders.
