The customary "hand & dagger" has been replaced by "a hand holding an olive branch", emblematic of "peace". The galley flies the flag of St George to represent the Church of England and the sail is charged with a black "Tau Cross" to commemorate the clergyman's association with the Third Order of Franciscans.
