The upper portion of the shield is "indented" to suggest the mountains of British Columbia and the "Eagle" refers to the armiger's service in the RCAF during WW II.

Crest: A gold wildcat placed on a coronet of Maple Leaves and Pacific Dogwood (the provincial flower) holding a balance scale to signify the armiger's profession as a lawyer.
