The MEM has been designed to be a virtual or 'electronic' representation of the physical Clan Macpherson Museum located in Newtonmore, Scotland. Its principal purpose is to permit the Clan Macpherson members living in far-flung places around the globe to learn more about their heritage, particularly those who have not yet had the opportunity to visit the physical Museum.

      The interior of the Museum underwent a major refurbishment in 2005 with many new and revised exhibits being created and a thorough 'face lift' applied throughout. Thus, a secondary purpose of the MEM is to acquaint members with the changes that have been made since their last visit. For a quick look at some of these changes, click here.
